Such a great find! I enjoyed a nice weekend with my family there and honestly do not have a bad thing to say. The rooms were BIG and CLEAN. We had 2 full beds a dinning table, TV, full size fridge and fully stocked kitchenette and still plenty of room to move around. The walk out patio offered great sunsets views and just a short walk to the playground and dock. Which offered great fishing, boating and paddle boarding. The owners were very friendly and helpful. All in all our favorite vacation spot all year! We are already planning our next trip.
This resort was perfect for my husband small dogv& self. Love the legacy behind it. Felt safe as it's concrete block. Set up nicely with a view of lake & covered 12 stall boat dock. Super handy when it rained a bucket full a couple times. Service is 5 star
A weekend getaway alone with my husband. Definitely needed some time away and a chance for some real quality time together. WE FOUND THE PERFECT PLACE. This place is a hidden gem. We are going to be calling this "our private hideaway" The rooms are fine. Out the back door, there is a park with multiple swings, merry-go-round, teeter totter, grills, and fire pits. Just beyond the park is the water where guests can swim and the boat dock. Great place for a couples getaway or a whole family outing. Owners and management are awesome. Ask for Tricia, Judy, or Nicole. Be sure to tell them you heard about this amazing and wonderful retreat from me.
Pampered as a guest and welcomed as family. We made a last-minute decision to head to the lake and stay here. We’re very glad we did. The resort is being renovated keeping the 60’s charm yet making it new at the same time. We enjoyed it so much, we had to stay an extra day! Perfect view of the lake from our room and short walk to our boat in the private dock.
We had such a great time at this resort, the rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The kids had a blast in the park area and on the lake. They have fire pits, grills and a huge amount of space in front of the lake. We already have our next trip booked at this resort and will be bringing our friends and family out for another adventure!
We had such a fun last minute Memorial Weekend with our college grad and a few of his friends. We got two traditional rooms for the kids, which have been updated and they had a connecting door so the they could all be together. We stayed in the queen bed suite. Beds were great and everything was very clean. Brought our boat and the dock was very nice and kept up. Beautiful view of lake. The owners were very friendly, management was too. Location is also perfect on the lake.
The rooms are older but extremely clean and well kept. If your looking for fancy this is not it, but they are welcoming and have a great place on the lake! The dock was also nice a slip came with the room! Its very hard to find a place that you can dock and walk strait too your room.
My wife grew up going to the Sunflower with her family. We spent our 1st anniversary there 35 years ago. As part of a road trip, we stayed for a night. You can tell they have worked hard in updating everything. The rooms were super-cute and very clean. The Staff is exceptional! They were friendly and kind and everything was prepared for our stay. We will definitely plan a trip to come back for a longer stay!!!!
